Dexsport joins Kalshi & Polymarket in prediction market race

Published: 1 min read
Three trading screens side by side showing different order book & price interfaces, no people visible.

Dexsport runs under a licence outside US oversight, unlike CFTC-regulated Kalshi & Polymarket US.

The hit

Crypto sportsbook Dexsport has entered the prediction market business, selling Yes & No shares from the same account used for betting & casino games, according to Crypto Daily. It joins Kalshi & Polymarket, which together handled more than $45bn in volume in August 2026, but runs under a different licence & fee model entirely.

Why it matters

For traders, the split is about cost & protection. Kalshi & Polymarket charge taker fees that peak on contracts priced near 50 cents, while Dexsport builds its cost into each price pair with no limit orders. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange; Polymarket US adds identity checks & dollar deposits. Dexsport operates offshore under an Anjouan licence, resolving markets itself within 24 hours.

The record

Kalshi taker fee at 50 cents ~$1.75 per 100 contracts (Crypto Daily)
Polymarket fee range $0.75 to $1.75 per 100 shares, effective 30 March 2026 (Crypto Daily)
Dexsport built-in cost Yes/No pairs sum to 101-102 cents, ~1-2% of stake (Crypto Daily)
Dexsport’s largest market 2028 Republican nomination past $60m in volume by September (Crypto Daily)
Polymarket US launch 3 December 2025, separate regulated exchange (Crypto Daily)

What happens next

Watch whether Dexsport’s pool-based model draws volume away from order-book rivals, & how New York & Massachusetts’ sports contract suits against Kalshi progress.
