Two gaming regulator groups say the Commodity Exchange Act is central to New Jersey’s case against Kalshi.

Two international gaming regulator bodies have asked the US Supreme Court to take up New Jersey’s fight with Kalshi, according to SBC Americas. The International Association of Gaming Regulators & the North American Gaming Regulators Association filed a joint amicus brief on 2 October in Flaherty v. KalshiEX.

Why it matters

The groups argue the Commodity Exchange Act is central to the dispute, according to SBC Americas. It is not yet known whether the Supreme Court will agree to hear the case.
